Winter Wonderland Beauty Styled Shoot || Virginia Portrait Photographer
That day proved to be one of the coldest ones that week, but our small team of photographers and our models braved the frigid temperatures to give us this beautiful styled shoot. One of our styled shoots featuring Amanda, our model, in a gorgeous fur coat was my favorite one. I can’t lie, there is nothing more fabulous than a fur coat. The Bridal Portrait Session || Stevenson Ridge, Fredericksburg VA
A bride on her wedding day is always beautiful, not just because of the fancy dress and professional hair and makeup, but because she radiates love and joy. I understand some brides love to have their bridal portraits taken a few weeks before their wedding, so they can have a photo of the bride get displayed at the wedding. Some brides don’t feel like to do their pre-wedding day bridal portraits by considering the fact that it would be a waste of money and time.
On a wedding day, I like to start the day with the bridal portrait session after capturing some moments of the bride getting ready. I LOVE bridal portrait sessions! I think this is one of my favorite things to photograph. There is nothing better than to photograph the Bride on her wedding day when she still looks fresh, excited and feels like a princess.
My advice to the future brides on your bridal portrait session, just relax and enjoy being in the moment and feeling special for the day.

The thought of rain on your wedding day may seem like a natural disaster for most brides, especially those with outdoor weddings. It is completely understandable to be disappointed, but my advice is to embrace the rain in such a way and have some ideas for how to make it more fun, exciting and sweetly unique.
We did have such a blast on Gwen & Mike’s wedding back in the Spring. It rained so much but we didn’t care and all their outdoor photos were with umbrellas. So, no need to fear rain!

Farrin & Daniel || Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden Engagement
Farrin and Daniel are a super sweet couple and full of love for life and each other. These two lovebirds are getting married tomorrow and I cannot wait for their special moment.
I would love to share a look back at my favorite images from their engagement session in Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden where they’ll be getting married tomorrow. The photo shoot started out just like any other fun engagement session with decent weather, unfortunately we had to end the shoot when the big rain started to pour down. Although we had a short amount of time for the shoot, we took some lovely images at 3 or 4 different  locations in the garden.
Aida & Isaac || UVA (University of Virginia) Engagement
UVa is distinctive for its beauty. It’s the only college campus that is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it was designed by Thomas Jefferson himself, and the Lawn (the most famous part of UVa) and the surrounding gardens are distinctive from an architectural standpoint. UVA campus holds more significance to Aida & Isaac and their relationship. The couple chose winter engagement photos, unfortunately the snow was pretty much melted on the day of photo shoot. 
Anyhow, I got some awesome photos of these two enjoying their time with each other.
Beat the Winter Blues with Beauty Shoot (part two) || Fredericksburg Portrait Photographer
Continuing from my blog post part 1Â with a blue-color-themed winter styled shoot, the outfits from the images here are bursting with a beautiful red color. I always love the pop of red against the snow. As one of my favorite colors, red is the color of energy and the symbol of life. It also evokes strength, power, and creates a visual impact. People tend to look more happier and attractive by wearing red.

Beat the Winter Blues with Beauty Shoot (part one) || Fredericksburg Portrait Photographer
Winter is generally regarded as the slowest season for photographers. For many of us, that is such a great time to rest and recharge, the time to update the website and set new goals. Some of us probably tend to have the winter blues as our mood rises and drops with the temperature. When other fellow photographers happen to be available, why not we plan a styled shoot together. This should be one of great ways to beat this winter blues and to boost our mood and our creative spark.
We then spontaneously styled a lovely shoot in the winter wonderland with just simple and elegant touches. For this part 1, I highlight here all blue/grey-color -themed style shoots that look elegant and fit good on Emily and Sarah (they were such troopers, brave the cold). Winnie the Pooh Cake Smash 1st Birthday Session || Fredericksburg Child Photography
I think Winnie the Pooh is a classic theme for the perfect first birthday party . I loved all the ideas come from baby Gabriel’s mom who created a simple setting for the cake smash session surrounded by the beauty of natural Fall colors that suite Winnie the Pooh colors as well. This handsome little guy had fun demolishing his birthday cake. We got lots of great picture for his family to remember his big milestone.
Snowy Winter Bridal Styled Shoot || Fredericksburg Wedding Photographer
Yes I had dreamed about doing an outdoor snowy winter styled shoot one for some time and was very excited to make it happen. With the help of several photographer friends, we styled a snowy winter styled shoot to show how the simple touches and the beautiful snow can create an elegant and stunning setting. This experience has been nothing short of inspirational. Thank you to Ally, our gorgeous model and the rest of the team involved!
